Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry met on Thursday member of the Fatah Central Committee and the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s Executive Committee Azzam al-Ahmad.
During their meeting, Shoukry affirmed Egypt's support for the Palestinian brothers, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez posted on Twitter.
FM also added that Egypt continues its intensive efforts and contacts aimed at ending the current escalation in the Palestinian territories and reaching a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
