Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry congratulated, on Sunday, his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party(CCP).
Wang had a phone conversation with Shoukry on bilateral relations and cooperation in producing vaccines.
The Foreign Minister, on behalf of the Egyptian government and people, offered his warm congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the (CCP ).
He affirmed that the Egyptian-Chinese relations have a long history, and the two sides enjoy broad common interests, stressing that the two countries have displayed massive support for each other on different issues, which is a living proof of their strong ties.
In recent years, under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the two countries' comprehensive strategic partnership has been growing to a higher level and is now at its best.
Notably, the CCP is the founding and ruling political party of modern China, officially known as the People’s Republic of China.
It has maintained a political monopoly since its founding a century ago, overseeing the country’s rapid economic growth and rise as a global power. Meanwhile, the party faces challenges, including economic inequality, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the climate crisis.
