Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, during the meeting he held in Washington with Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen, a member of the Foreign Relations and Appropriations Committees of the US Senate, stressed the complete Arab consensus on rejecting the displacement of Palestinians.
Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Monday that the meeting discussed ways to support the strategic partnership between Egypt and the United States, where Minister Abdel-Aty reviewed the tireless efforts made by Egypt to support security and stability in the Middle East, pointing out to the basic pillars that the Egyptian-American partnership and joint cooperation constitute in order to support these efforts.
Minister Abdel Aty stressed the importance of finding a political horizon for the Palestinian issue, which would result in the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the Palestinian people’s enjoyment of the right to self-determination.
