Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Emigrated Egyptians, conducted, on Monday, a series of phone calls with Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Dr. Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq; and Mr. Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
These discussions were part of ongoing coordination and consultation regarding regional developments.
The calls featured an exchange of views on the rapidly evolving regional situation following the U.S.-Iranian negotiations held in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11.
Participants emphasized the vital importance of continuing and intensifying efforts to de-escalate tensions, while prioritizing negotiations to overcome the current crisis and safeguard regional security and stability.
The parties agreed to maintain close coordination and consultation in the coming period as part of joint efforts to achieve calm and support stability across the region.
