Badr Abdel Atty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, met on Monday with Zhai Jun, China's Special Envoy to the Middle East and head of the Chinese delegation attending the "Cairo Ministerial Conference to Enhance Humanitarian Response in Gaza."
FM highlighted the deep bilateral ties between Egypt and China, noting the 10th anniversary of their "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" this year.
He also emphasized the momentum generated by regular high-level meetings over recent years.
On economic collaboration, Abdel Atty commended the active cooperation with Chinese companies participating in major national projects in Egypt, expressing Egypt's eagerness to expand investments and enhance partnerships with Chinese firms operating in the country.
Additionally, FM appreciated the Chinese envoy's participation in the conference and acknowledged China's supportive stance on the Palestinian cause.
He also outlined Egypt's efforts to secure a ceasefire and facilitate humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.
