Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdelatty stated that the celebrations filling Arab streets following Egypt's victory over Australia and its qualification for the World Cup Round of 16 are "natural sentiments that reflect the deep bonds between Egypt and its Arab brothers."
Speaking at a joint press conference with Dubravka Šuica, the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Abdelatty added, "This joy comes as no surprise; Egypt always shares in the joy and sorrow of its brotherly nations."
