FM, Arab Parl't Speaker Hold Talks in Cairo

Badr Abdel Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, met with Mohammed Al-Yamahi, the newly appointed President of the Arab Parliament.

Minister Abdel Aty began the meeting by congratulating Al-Yamahi on his new role, expressing Egypt's appreciation for the Arab Parliament's vital contributions. 

He highlighted its role in representing the voice of Arab nations on key issues, creating a unified Arab parliamentary front to defend regional interests in international parliamentary forums, and enhancing joint Arab action.

The minister affirmed Egypt's full support for efforts to strengthen the Arab Parliament's work and its influence on both regional and international stages, particularly during the challenging circumstances the region faces. 

He emphasized the importance of continued coordination with the Arab Parliament's leadership to advance Arab parliamentary work and foster closer ties between Arab legislatures and the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Additionally, Abdel Aty underscored the need to elevate the Parliament's role in promoting economic, social, and cultural collaboration among Arab states and enhancing cooperation in these fields through coordination with national parliaments.
