Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Emigrants, held a phone call with Dr. Nawaf Salam, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, to consult on the ongoing developments in brotherly Lebanon.

During the call, Abdelatty emphasized Egypt's full solidarity with Lebanon in facing the current delicate challenges.

Moreover, FM stressed the Egyptian position calling for a complete Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, asserting that any violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity constitutes a flagrant breach of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Abdelatty also underscored the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions, particularly the Lebanese Armed Forces, to enable them to fulfill their responsibilities in extending authority and sovereignty over the entire national territory.

In this context, he emphasized the necessity of ensuring that weapons remain exclusively in the hands of the Lebanese state, as this serves as the fundamental pillar for preserving Lebanon's security and stability, supporting the state's choice, and safeguarding the resources of the brotherly Lebanese people.
