Several flights were canceled on Sunday at airports in Larnaca and Paphos, Cyprus, as ongoing regional air traffic disruptions continued to affect routes, particularly those heading to the Middle East.
According to airport flight schedule information, multiple arriving and departing flights were suspended, especially those linking Cyprus with Israel, Lebanon, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
At Larnaca Airport, canceled incoming flights included services operated by Gulf Air from Bahrain and flights by Cyprus Airways from Beirut.
Several routes from Israel were also affected, including flights from Tel Aviv operated by Israir Airlines and flights from Haifa run by Air Haifa, according to the local newspaper Cyprus Mail on Sunday morning.
A flight operated by Wizz Air from Abu Dhabi was also canceled, along with a scheduled arrival from Heathrow Airport.
Departures from Larnaca were significantly affected along the same routes, with flights to Bahrain, Beirut, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Abu Dhabi canceled.
At Paphos Airport, cancellations were limited to flights bound for Haifa, while other flights continued to operate normally.
