Flash Floods, Storms Kill at Least 7 People in Oman

The death toll in Omani coastal cities rose to at least 7 on Monday after three days of heavy rains triggered flash flooding that swamped districts and beaches extend along the Indian ocean.

On Sunday, four people, including a child were also confirmed to have been killed in the afflicted residences, and six were found dead under rubble in Sistan and Baluchistan in the southeast of neighboring Iran.

In response to this disaster, rescue teams have been deployed to these regions to rescue victims from the last tropical storm, Shaheen.

In a video, vehicles are submerged as people tried to make their way through muddy brown floodwater. Meanwhile, Omani citizens in flooded areas being rescued by helicopter.

The video also shows the pedestrians walked along flooded streets, while a tractor plowed through the mud.
