The director of the Crisis Cell in Fars Province, southern Iran, announced that the torrential rains that swept areas near the city of Istahban have so far killed 15 citizens and left 13 others missing.
Khalil Abdullahi said that the heavy rains in the city of Istahban resulted in torrential rains from behind the Rudbal Dam, and the torrents swept the course of the Rudbal River and the surrounding areas.
According to the official Iranian media, Abdullahi explained that the rescue forces and military forces in the region rushed to the aid of the citizens who were besieged by the torrents, and 55 of them were rescued.
