Heavy rains and a thunderstorm in the city of Zaragoza in northern Spain caused major floods, sweeping away cars and disrupting transportation and services in large parts of the city.

The French newspaper "Le Parisien" reported that the floods swept through the city of Zaragoza and the town of Aragon, and cars were swept away in some places, while no injuries were reported.

Heavy rain fell on Thursday afternoon in the Spanish city of Zaragoza.

Pictures and videos posted on social media showed cars swept away by the torrential rains, which made residents resort to the roofs of their cars.

According to local media, rescuers and divers teams have intervened to help many people who are facing difficulties inside and outside the city, while there have been no reports yet of injuries despite the force of the floods. Rescuers also used ropes and ladders to help residents trapped in their cars, some of whom took refuge in Trees to distance themselves away from the water.
