Five Palestinians were killed and others injured since dawn on Tuesday in the ongoing Israeli shelling of the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis Governorate, south of the Gaza Strip. This coincides with a catastrophic deterioration in the humanitarian situation, amid a severe hunger crisis with food shortages and water scarcity.
Palestinian medical sources reported, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), that four Palestinians were killed and more than 30 others were injured as a result of the Israeli shelling of the tents of displaced persons in the Al-Iqlimiya area, south of the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. A Palestinian died of wounds he sustained a few days ago in Khan Yunis.
Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis, and north of Rafah. Artillery shelling continues in the Al-Masdar area and east of Al-Maghazi, central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 99th consecutive day.
