Netflix released on Monday the first trailer for Kevin Hart’s latest movie, "Fatherhood".
The movie is based on Matt Logelin’s memoir "Two Kisses For Maddy: A Memoir Of Loss & Love", and follows a man (Hart) whose wife dies shortly after childbirth, leaving him to raise their daughter on his own.
The single dad faces many struggles such as being rejected by a support group for new mothers, failing to properly style his daughter’s hair, even his own family is doubtful of his parenting skills.
It also stars Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Anthony Carrigan, Paul Reiser, and others.
Paul Weitz directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Dana Stevens.
Netflix acquired the worldwide rights for the movie from Sony Pictures, which had re-teamed with Hart following the sequel to "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", with the movie’s release by Sony being delayed due to theatrical shutdowns caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
"Fatherhood" hits Netflix on June 18.
