Cairo International Airport received on Tuesday the first direct flights coming from the Russian city of St. Petersburg. This flight is the 1st operation of this line since Moscow resumed its direct flights to Cairo in 2018.
Sources familiar with the airport said that for the first time, direct flights were operating between the Russian city of St. Petersburg and Cairo Airport. Flight 4399, operated by Russian Nordwind Airlines, arrived on Tuesday evening with 90 passengers on board.
In statements to reporters, the sources added that flights will operate regularly between Russia’s St. Petersburg and Cairo Airport, during the coming period.
The number of flights per week for the Russian company has not been determined, as the flights to Cairo will be operated according to economic feasibility and travel reservations, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances of the Coronavirus pandemic
