Joy filled dozens of women in the villages of Ashmoun city in Egypt's Menoufia Governorate, as they handed over their first poultry production after weeks of follow-up and training.
This successful humanitarian experience has restored hope to hundreds of rural families. Their homes have been transformed into production units, and they have reaped the benefits of their labor in the form of a decent income and a genuine sense of empowerment.
This step marks the conclusion of the first phase of the "New Hope" initiative, launched by the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) on August 11, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Decent Life Foundation, and with support of the Abou El-Enein Foundation for Cultural and Social Activities, which purchased the entire production and donated it to "Decent Life" initiative for use in its feeding programs, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Solidarity.
The initiative, which aimed to empower 100 families through poultry farming projects, was a clear fruit of the humanitarian and development ties between MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein and the Chinese Ambassador to Cairo.
The close friendship between the two sides contributed to supporting the project and providing a partnership with the Chinese company New Hope, which oversaw the training of the women and monitored its implementation.
The success of the New Hope Initiative confirms the significant interest of the NACDW, its institutions, and partners in empowering women, particularly rural women, in implementing the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who places women at the heart of comprehensive development plans.
With the completion of the first phase, the National Alliance is preparing to launch the second phase, making "New Hope" a sustainable experiment that can be replicated in various villages across Egypt.
