First Lady Entissar El Sisi took part in a ceremony honoring Egyptian women and ideal mothers of 2022, saying that "Egyptian women are the key to life."

"With pride and appreciation, I was honored to attend the ceremony acclaiming Egyptian women and 2022’s Ideal Mother," she posted on her Facebook account late Wednesday.

She added that "I have long paused in the face of the inspiring women who honored us with their presence at the ceremony; their experiences prove that Egyptian women are truly the key to life."

The First Lady noted that "They have defied all odds, faced the impossible, and conquered all circumstances, in the service of their children and their country."

She stressed: "This ceremony came at a time when we are all facing a major global crisis that has cast a shadow over us, but Egyptian women, as we have seen, are able to overcome all and lead their family to safety," adding that "My greetings and respect to every Egyptian woman who holds together her home and her country."

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the First Lady celebrated Wednesday Egyptian Women’s Day and Mother of the Year 2022 at Al-Manara Center for International Conferences in the Fifth Settlement in New Cairo.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, and a number of ministers and senior statesmen. The President honored a number of ideal women on the Mother’s Day.
