The Assistant Minister of Interior for Administrative Affairs and CEO of the Egyptian Hajj Mission announced the arrival of the first 1,000 pilgrims from the Lottery Mission to Mecca. He noted that the airlift between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to transport the Lottery Mission pilgrims to the Holy Land will continue over the coming days.
He explained that Lottery Mission officials received the pilgrims at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah upon their arrival, following up on the arrival and grouping procedures for Mecca, in preparation for their accommodation in their hotels in the central area surrounding the Grand Mosque.
Egyptian Mission officials held celebrations at the hotels to welcome the first groups of pilgrims to Mecca, where they were greeted with flowers, and gifts were distributed.
A number of mission members were assigned to assist the elderly and people with special needs from their arrival at the airport until they were accommodated in their rooms.
