The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported on Tuesday that a fire broke out in a warehouse in Sderot, a city adjacent to the Gaza Strip, following a barrage of rockets fired towards the city.
According to the broadcaster, air raid sirens sounded as Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system was activated to intercept the rockets, as reported by the Arab World News Agency.
The fire was reportedly ignited by rocket shrapnel that fell on the warehouse after being intercepted by Israeli defenses.
The broadcaster also noted that the Israeli artillery has begun responding to the attacks.
