A massive fire broke out overnight at a Tesla showroom in Rome, destroying 17 vehicles, according to Italian emergency services.
Firefighters responded to the blaze in the early hours of Monday in the Torre Angela district, east of the Italian capital.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire. However, local media reports suggest that investigators are considering several possibilities, including arson.
Firefighters confirmed that no injuries were reported, but the fire caused partial damage to the showroom building. The emergency response teams arrived at the scene at approximately 4:30 a.m. local time (2:30 a.m. GMT) to contain the flames.
Tesla has been expanding its presence in Italy, with multiple showrooms and service centers across the country. The incident raises concerns about security at electric vehicle facilities, particularly as the company continues to grow in the European market.
