According to unconfirmed reports, an Iraqi ship has shortly caught fire in the waters of the Arabian Gulf, killing all nine crew members.

No more information is available yet on the cause of the fire and its exact location. The Iraqi government has not issued any official statements yet.

Also, there were conflicting reports about whether all of the ship's crew were Iraqis, as some websites indicated that among the crew members were non-Iraqi nationals.

This incident comes less than 48 hours after the huge blaze broke out at the al-Hussein hospital in Nasiriya, which left many people dead or injured.
