The Abu Dhabi Media Office stated that "the relevant authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi are dealing with a fire at the Shah oil field caused by a drone strike. No injuries have been reported so far, and further updates will be provided later."
In a statement issued Monday, the authorities urged the public not to spread rumors and to obtain information only from official sources.
In previous statements, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that its air defenses intercepted nine ballistic missiles and 33 drones launched from Iran last Saturday.
The UAE Ministry of Defense further stated that since the beginning of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defenses have intercepted 294 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,600 drones.
