Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, met with ambassadors of member states of the League of Arab States during an official visit to Egypt.
The meeting was held at the Arab League Headquarters and attended by the Arab League Secretary-General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, along with senior diplomats representing Arab member states. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Finland and Arab countries and exchanging views on regional developments and global challenges.
Stubb emphasized the importance of dialogue and international cooperation in addressing issues such as regional stability, sustainable development and climate change. He said Finland is keen to expand partnerships with Arab nations in education, technology and innovation, highlighting the role of knowledge-sharing in promoting long-term development.
Aboul Gheit welcomed the Finnish president’s visit and described it as an opportunity to deepen Arab-European relations and enhance cooperation across political, economic and cultural sectors. He reaffirmed the Arab League’s commitment to working with international partners to support stability and development in the region.
