Finland announced that it has decided to close its entire eastern border with Russia for two weeks, starting from November 30, Telegraph reported Tuesday.
Finnish Prime Minister Petri Orbo said that this step was due to national security concerns.
He added during a press conference: “Our goal is for the exceptional situation on Finland’s eastern border to return to normal as soon as possible. We do not accept any attempt to undermine our national security.”
"Russia caused this situation and is also capable of ending it,".
Public radio station YLE said that the closure aims to defend the country. What the government described as “an attack by Russia using migrants from third countries.”
