Five days separate Luxor governorate from the highly-anticipated show of "Opera Aida”, as it makes a comeback for the first time in 22 years.
Giuseppe Verdi’s 1871 “Opera Aida” show returns to Luxor in a grand two-day show at Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, starting from October (26-28).
The Governor of Luxor, Mustafa Alham, stressed that currently, work is underway in all parts of the tourism sectors in the Luxor governorate.
‘Everything you need to know about Opera Aida show’
1. Opera Aida returns to Luxor after 22 years of absence following Deir el-Bahari incident.
2. It will be staged at the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Luxor.
3. The operetta's last performance at the temple was in late 1997.
4. All the VIP tickets have already been fully booked within days of its release, which is the most expensive fare.
5. The shows are expected to attract more than 4,000 tourists from all over the world.
6. Approximately 500 Egyptians and 50 consultants involved in organizing the shows.
7. Many University students participate in the organization to highlight the sophistication of Egyptian youth.
8. The shows are organized by 200 foreign staff and more than 17 institutions, authorities and hotels around Egypt.
9. Luxor hotels recorded the highest rate of bookings, where it was fully booked on the days of the shows.
10. Nile cruises in Luxor will record the highest occupancy rates during the shows for the first time in 8 years.
11. A short film will be screened before the show kicks off about the 15th anniversary of the Suez Canal foundation.
12. It will be directed by prominent German director Michael Sturm.
13. Korean star Sae Kyung Rim will play the role of Ethiopian Princess Aida.
14. Belgian star, Michael Spadaccini will play the role of Egyptian hero Radames.
15. Czech star, ElisKa Weissova will play the role of "Amenisris", daughter of the Egyptian king.
17. Greece actor Aris Argiris will play the role of the Ethiopian king"Amonasaro".
18. Greek actor Aris Argiris will play the role of “Amonasaro”, the Ethiopian king.
19. The operetta will feature the performance of at least 80 musicians from the Symphony Orchestra of Lviv at Ukraine, who are characterized by excellent communication with listeners, led by the Ukrainian maestro Oksana Lyniv.
