Egyptian reports claimed on Sunday that Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi would extend his contract with Zamalek.
A source in Zamalek, the White Knights' reached an initial agreement with Sassi to renew his contract, as the current deal will end in the next season.
"The player will extend his contract after the CAF Champions League final," the source added.
The Tunisian international joined the White Knights in the 2018-19 season coming from Al Nasr, as he made 74 appearances with the Whites, scoring 13 goals, and making 10 assists.
