Feb 28 Weather: Egypt Sees Moderately Cold Weather on Sat, Cairo 18°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts continued cold weather across the country on Saturday. 

Early mornings are expected to be extremely cold, with daytime temperatures remaining cool in most areas, and nights turning very cold. Frost formation is possible on crops in central Sinai.

Fog is expected from 4:00 to 9:00 AM in northern Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai. 

Light to moderate rain may fall intermittently along the northern coasts and northern parts of the Nile Delta. There is also a low chance, around 20%, of light rain in southern Delta regions, Greater Cairo, and Canal cities.

Strong winds are expected along the western coasts, southern Sinai, and southern Egypt, which will increase the feeling of cold. 

Marine conditions are expected to be rough along parts of the Red Sea coast and the Gulf of Suez and Aqaba, with wind speeds of 50–60 km/h and waves reaching 2–3 meters high.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 18°C in Cairo, 18°C in Alexandria, 16°C in Marsa Matruh, 20°C in Sohag, 23°C in Qena, and 23°C in Aswan.
