The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects a rise in temperatures across most parts of the country on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
According to the authority, the weather will be slightly cold during the early morning hours, turning hot during the daytime in most regions, and becoming moderately cool again at night.
Winds are expected to be active in areas of the Red Sea Governorate, stirring up sand and dust across parts of the northwestern coasts and the Matrouh Desert. This may lead to reduced horizontal visibility on some roads.
Suspended dust is also forecast over parts of northern Egypt extending to northern Upper Egypt, central Sinai, and exposed areas of Greater Cairo.
Low clouds are expected over northern regions up to Greater Cairo and the Canal cities. These may result in light, non-impactful drizzle in some areas.
Maritime navigation will be disrupted in the western Mediterranean Sea, particularly along the coasts of El Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, and El Alamein.
Wind speeds are expected to range between 40 and 60 km/h, with wave heights reaching 2 to 3 meters.
The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 29°C in Cairo, 28°C in Alexandria, 28°C in Marsa Matruh, 31°C in Sohag, 31°C in Qena, and 32°C in Aswan.
