Fatah, Hamas Delegations Head to Cairo for Talks

Two leading Hamas and Fatah delegations are expected to hold talks in Cairo, on Sunday, with Egyptian officials.

Palestinian local reports revealed: “A delegation from Hamas movement will leave through the Rafah crossing for Cairo, to hold talks with Egyptian officials.”

The reports added that the delegation includes: Deputy Chairman of the movement, Saleh Al-Arouri, Dr. Khalil Al-Hayya , and Hossam Badran.

Earlier, a delegation from the Gaza Strip headed to Cairo last month.

In the same context, a Fatah delegation arrived in Cairo including the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Fatah Movement, Major General Gebril Rajoub, and two Central Committee members Ahmed Helles and Rouhi Fattouh.

Abd al-Latif al-Qanoo, a spokesman for Hamas affirmed that the visit came within the framework of the Egyptian efforts exerted to complete the path of Palestinian reconciliation, and the continuous meetings and dialogues with Fatah movement to achieve partnership in various institutions.
