Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture & Arts announces date of 2nd Arts Awards

The Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and Arts announced the date of the second round of the Arts Awards 2021 ceremony in the fields of (photography - sculpture - art criticism - photography - architecture) and the collective exhibition for young artists under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.

The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 6 p.m. at the Gezira Arts Center in Zamalek.

Noteworthy, the arts awards of the second round increased to five branches as follows:

* Prize for Photography "drawing” estimated at EGP 100,000 pounds. The jury includes: -

- Dr. Ali Abdel-Hadi - Former Dean of the College of Architecture and Arts - University of Petra and former Vice-Dean of the College of Fine Arts for Postgraduate Studies and Research - Helwan University

-Dr. Hussein Shaboury - Fine artist and design and exhibition expert

-Dr. Ashraf Reda - CEO of the Arts and Culture Complex, Helwan University

- Samir Fouad - Fine Artist

Ehab Al-Laban - Artist, Sculptor and Director of the Arts Complex - Ministry of Culture

* The sculpture prize, estimated at EGP 100 thousand pounds, the jury includes: -

Abdel Aziz Saab - Professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Department of Sculpture

Dr. Shams Al-kornfoly - Dean of the faculty of Applied Arts

Dr. Essam Darwish – Professor at Faculty of Art Education, Department of Sculpture, Helwan University

Nagy Farid - Fine Artist – Sculptor

Ehab Al-Labban - Artist, Sculptor and Director of the Arts Complex - Ministry of Culture

* The Art Criticism Prize, estimated at EGP 60 thousand pounds, and the jury includes: -

Dr. Shaker Abdel Hamid - Former Minister of Culture

- Dr. Amal Nasr - Professor and Head of photography Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University

-Dr. Yasser Mongy - Assistant Professor at College of Fine Arts

-Writer and Art critic ‪Fatima Ali

* Photography prize, estimated at EGP 100,000 pounds, and the jury includes: -

- artist Ayman Lotfi

-artist Emad Abdel Hadi

- artist Jalal Al-Misri

* Architecture Prize, estimated at EGP 100 thousand pounds, and the jury includes: -

-Architect Shihab Mazhar

-The engineering consultant, Muhammad Abu Saada, head of the National Organization for Urban Coordination

- Architect Hatem Al-Saeed
