Everyone loved him, the simple people to the officials, the young and the old. Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi passed away, may God have mercy on his soul, and his image and smile remain in the memories of those who knew him, as proof that true humanity is not made by posts. He greets you with a smile and a kind word, whether you are an official or a simple citizen who has come to ask a question. In his presence, you feel respected before you hear a word, and you feel that the person in front of you is truly listening to you, not just out of duty.
When he passed away, his funeral turned into a solemn humanitarian event. The streets of Sheikh Zayed were packed with crowds, and the lines for the funeral prayers extended beyond normal. The Prime Minister and senior state officials stood alongside villagers from Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt, and businessmen stood alongside workers. It was as if God willed to make this day a proof to the people's love for him.
I knew him closely in many meetings, and saw him at conferences, meetings, and public events. He was always cheerful, humble, welcoming everyone he met. Neither his post nor the spotlight changed him.
He was prominent in his field, and he dedicated his knowledge to serving the people. He realized that he was a minister in a ministry that served all people, and that decisions were not papers and numbers, but rather faces, stories, and conditions awaiting relief.
Even in his final days, despite his struggles with illness, he remained committed to the projects he had initiated, ensuring that the trust he had entrusted would remain intact. When the Prime Minister honored him weeks before his death, it was an official recognition by the state of his contributions. However, for him, it was merely a stop on a journey he had begun years earlier to serve the people.
He passed away, but the spirit remains in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy continues to remind us that true love is not imposed, but rather is planted in the hearts and manifests at the moment of farewell. May God have mercy on Dr. Ali Mosalhi's soul.
