She appeared and disappeared as a star in the sky!
On Saturday, October 22, 2016, minutes after the death of Brigadier General Adel Rajaei, in front of his home in Obour City, his wife Samia Zain Al-Abidin, a journalist in Dar Al-Tahrir, appeared stronger than any pain .. I still remember her wounded voice while she was talking about the last dreams of "Adel" in a country liberated from the rabid "bats".
Rajaei was then the chief of staff of the 9th Armored Division in Dahshour, and he was in charge of the file of demolishing the tunnels between Gaza and Sinai, implementing the buffer zone in Rafah and demolishing hundreds of terrorists’ hideouts in Sinai.
Her voice was strong, even if it made us cry ... bloody ... wounded ... and sad ... but gave us strength and hope to defeat terrorism. The bullets that hit her life partner, her hero and her role model, wounded her heart, but they did not undermine her pride and her patriotism. Her voice was loud in every location alerting us to the will and hope of her husband, who deservedly was described by his soldiers as a "man of difficult missions" for his love and loyalty for his work in the armed forces.
Samia proudly announced that her husband was the first Egyptian army officer of this rank and command to be assassinated after the June 30 revolution ..
Samia simply and faithfully stated her husband's last message: "The people must be unified .. since Egypt is in danger .. those who fight us are rabid dogs.
Samia declared his last words and did not give up or close her door and lick the wounds of her heart and her grieving dream, but she continued to carry the weapon of the word, gained from her experience an intellectual and patriotic military editor.
She recognized the meaning of the homeland, the message of the word, and the power of the bullets of letters, which she considered stronger than the fire against groups of evil and sabotage everywhere!
On Friday, October 10, 2020, on the same days of glory and the victory’s anniversary, in which her husband passed away to the paradise of eternity ... Samia joined him ... she died but her voice still echoes throughout the country.
Samia left us, shocked and astonished, we couldn’t believe the news of her death. A school of patriotism and pride passed away by the death of Samia.
I was happy when Samia was chosen as a member of the National Press Authority, and I wished her to hold a higher position .. but I was not surprised when she refused the higher position.
The patriotic journalist did not refuse any position just because she is very loyal to the principles of the country or because she considers the pen greater than any official position .. but she was the one who wrote sincerely: "I received the highest honor of being the wife of the martyr."
On Friday, Samia passed away to join her husband. May Allah have mercy on her.
