Egyptian actor, Haitham, the son of late legendary actor, Ahmed Zaki, and actress, Hala Fouad, departed from our world in the early hours of Thursday, after suffering a sudden circulatory collapse. He was 35.
He was found dead in the bathroom of his villa in Sheikh Zayed City, after suffering a sudden circulatory collapse.
The actor’s funeral will be conducted from Mustafa Mahmoud Mosque, in Dokki, Giza, today, after the afternoon prayer.
Haitham suffered during the last 10 years of his life, after suffering from a sudden health crisis, following the death of his father in 2005.
He confined in his room for over two years, then resumed his artistic career and presented several roles that made him the focus of the attention of producers.
Life and Career
Haitham was born on April 4, 1984. He made his film acting debut in 2006 film “Halim” at the age of 22.
It was a biopic about the Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez. Its production started in 2005 with Ahmed Zaki co-starring as the lead actor, however, he passed away March 27, 2005, before the film’s completion, so Haitham filled in.
Haitham received high raves over his performance in the film, which led to his first leading role in 2007 film "Albliatcho".
He stopped acting for three years before returning in 2010 through TV series, “Al-Gama’a”, written by genius Wahid Hamid, which was followed by many successful productions such as “Kaf Alqamar”, “Bitter Sugar”, “The Treasure: Truth and Imagination”, “The Treasure 2”, “Al-Gama’a”, “Dawaran Shubra”, “El-Safaa”, “Elsabaa Wasaya”, “Embratoreyet Meen”, “Ostaz Wa Ra’ees Kesm”, and “Kalabsh 2”.
Last Days
The Public Prosecution team at the Sheikh Zayed Police Department's office listened to the statement of the late actor's fiancée, who reported his death.
She revealed that she was calling to check on him but he did not answer and pointed out that the last call between them was at 4 am on Wednesday.
She said that she started to worry and called his aunt, who used to go to check on him, and informed the security of the compound, as well as contacted the police to break the door of the villa.
Investigations pointed out that the actor's assistant sometimes stayed with him in the villa, but he was not with him that night.
The Giza Security Directorate received a report from Sheikh Zayed's police department that revealed that the actor's fiancée tried to contact him more than once but he did not respond, so a security force moved and opened the door of the villa, after obtaining the prosecution's permission, and discovered that actor's death.

Celebrities took to social media accounts to mourn the death of the young actor, including Ahmed El Sakka, Ahmed Fathy, Maged El Masry, Emy Salem, Nahed Elsebai, and others.
Nahed El Sebai, the granddaughter of the well-known Egyptian actor Farid Shawky and Egyptian singer and actress Hoda Sultan, expressed her grief over the death of the late actor on Instagram.
She shared how he always feared and felt that he would die lonely and alone, with no one knowing the hour of his death.

Moreover, scriptwriter Abdul Rahim Kamal shared the behind-the-scenes of the late actor, while filming the first scenes of film "Al Kanz" directed by Sherif Arafa.
"The first day of shooting film "the treasure" at a scene between Mohamed Saad and Haitham Ahmed Zaki, as I set next to Al-Monitor and Sharif Arafa was moving between Al-Monitor and the office that was shooting in fixing something, and Ayman Abulkarem Director of Photography beside." Kamal wrote on Facebook.
"Haitham sat next to me like a confused child, and shake my hands with his cold ones, and shaking voice, with teary and happy eyes, telling me that he loves me and was extremely happy with the role. I sensed that I was in front of a good man with a million need inside him," he added.
Latest Appearance
Haitham’s last artistic work was 2019’s TV series “Alamet Estefham” (Question Mark), which premiered during the holy month of Ramadan.
Fears of loneliness
Social Media users circulated a video of the actor during a television interview with TV host Amr Al-Leithi.
Haitham spoke about his loss of his family one by one since childhood, and how their death caused several consecutive shocks because of their separation.
He lost his mother at a young age due to cancer, then lost his father to the same disease, which was followed by the death of his grandfather, uncle and the last of which was his grandmother, who he was attached to, as she raised him after the death of his mother.

They also circulated a rare video that features the late actor with his mother, and his grandfather, director Ahmed Fouad in a television interview with TV presenter, Salma El Shamaa.
