Prince Abbas Helmy, head of the festival, decided to name the award after late actor Hassan Kamy for the first time this year. The award is granted every year to creative youth in the musical field in order to encourage them to continue working hard in their craft. The late Kamy previously held the position of the technical staff for the festival and a member of the board of directors for the committee for El-Manyal Palace.

On her part, Farah expressed her happiness for earning a shield bearing the name of renowned artist Hassan Kamy and for being the first artist to receive this honor through a festival carrying a musical message headed by Prince Abbas Helmy, who always strives to preserve the musical heritage. Later, the international maestro Ramzi Yassi Festival director delivered the shield to her.

Debani was the first Egyptian singer to be honored at the Paris Opera.
