On Saturday a large number of fans and several Egyptian actors bid a final farewell to Legendary screenwriter Wahid Hamed, who passed away at the age of 76 due to health problems.
The funeral of Hamed, who is widely considered to be one of Egypt’s iconic writers, was held after his body arrived at El-Shorta Mosque at the 6th of October city.
The funeral was attended by Culture Minister Enas Abdel-Dayem, Elham Shaheen, Lebleba, Ahmed Helmy, Mona Zaki, Sandra Nasha'at, and others.

Hamed is known for many famous artistic works including; "Al-Erhab wel Kabab" (Terrorism and Kebab), "Ahlam al-Fata al-Taer" (Dreams of the Flying Boy), "Omaret Yacoubian" (The Yacoubian Building), "Al-Baree’" (The Innocent), "Ma’ali al-Wazeer" (The Minister), "Ehky ya Scheherazade" (Tell the Story, Scheherazade).
Throughout his long career, he collaborated with well-known directors like Yousry Nasrallah, Atef al-Tayeb, Sherif Arafa, and others.
Hamed established a production company titled Wahid Hamed Film Productions, to produce his and others’ works.
