Faid Mustafa, assistant secretary-general of the Arab League and head of its Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Department, met with Mohamed Ait Ouali, Morocco’s ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League.
The meeting reviewed regional developments, with a particular focus on the Palestinian issue. The two sides discussed the severe humanitarian and political conditions facing Palestinians following nearly two years of wide-scale hostilities in Gaza, which have caused extensive destruction, heavy civilian casualties and an unprecedented deterioration in living conditions.
They also exchanged views on several shared political files, stressing the importance of enhanced Arab coordination and consultation, and strengthening cooperation between Morocco’s mission and the Arab League’s Palestine department.
