Dr. Faed Mustafa, Assistant Secretary-General and head of the Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories Sector at the Arab League, met with a delegation from the Anti-Apartheid Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Arab Lawyers Union.
The delegation was led by Dr. Ramzi Rabah, a member of the organization’s Executive Committee. Discussions focused on the need to uphold Palestinian rights to establish an independent state amid ongoing regional tensions, with participants warning that global distractions are being used to intensify actions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.
Participants also addressed Israel’s recently approved law allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners, describing it as a grave violation of international law. They further condemned restrictions on access to religious sites in Jerusalem.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination and joint advocacy efforts, including pursuing legal action before international courts and mobilizing professional and civil institutions to raise global awareness.
