Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram Return to Work after Huge Worldwide Outage

On Friday, leading corporation Meta, which operates Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, reported that its platforms returned to work after a huge worldwide outage.

Meta Spokesperson told Express.co.uk: "Earlier today, a configuration change caused some people to have trouble accessing our products. We fixed the issue as quickly as possible for everyone who was impacted, and we apologise for any inconvenience."

Meta's applications went down for almost an hour before the issues were resolved. The outage began around 8: 30 pm today and impacted Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

Thousands of users reported that the services were down and one of the most affected countries was the United Kingdom.

At the peak of today's outages Down Detector UK recorded more than 20,000 reports were related to Facebook, while more than 14,000 reports were related to Instagram, and 8,000 reports were concerned WhatsApp.
