On Thursday, Facebook and Twitter temporarily locked the page of outgoing US President Donald Trump, over Capitol breach posts.
Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube removed a video posted by Trump in which he addressed his supporters after storming the U.S. Capitol Wednesday afternoon.
In a statement, Facebook said, "We've assessed two policy violations against President Trump's Page which will result in a 24-hour feature block, meaning he will lose the ability to post on the platform during that time,"

On its part, Twitter said that if Trump continues to violate Twitter rules after the 12-hour freeze, the @realdonaldtrump account will be permanently suspended.
On Wednesday, supporters of Donald Trump stormed a congressional session held to endorse Joe Biden’s victory, as a last-minute desperate attempt by Trump to reverse his election loss led to chaos and accusations of an attempted “coup.”
Officials at the U.S. Capitol building announced the closure, and lawmakers said on Twitter that they were sheltering in their offices, as protesters – some of them carrying Trump flags – were seen walking through the building.
