Facebook Gaming let users play their favourite games during video calls on Messenger, the tech firm announced.
“This new, shared experience in Messenger makes it easy to play games with friends and family while in a video call, allowing you to deepen connections with friends and family by engaging in conversations and gameplay at the same time,” the statement read.
According to the company, there are 14 free-to-play games available in Messenger video calls on iOS, Android, and the web, without required installs.
Meanwhile, Meta enlarged the length of Facebook Reels from 60 to 90 seconds, along with some new creative tools.
This step came months after Meta launched support for longer Instagram Reels of up to 90 seconds. The expansion followed TikTok’s move into YouTube’s territory with videos that can be up to 10 minutes in length, instead of just three.
In the same vein, the firm is launching more attractive features, including a new templates tool that allows users to create Reels with trending templates.
