An F-16 crashed into a building after the pilot lost control over the fighter jet on Thursday.
"This morning an accident occurred with an F-16 fighter jet at Leeuwarden Air Force Base," the Dutch Air Force told the NL Times.
Leeuwarden Air Base is one of the 2 Dutch F-16 air bases. The other is Volkel Air Base.
A pilot belonging to the Belgian air force was said to have encountered some technical problems while taking off from Leeuwarden Air Force Base, in Netherlands.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the accident was reported at 9.22 am.
The pilot was taken to hospital with a leg injury, while another Belgian soldier who was nearby was taken to hospital for checkup, NOS reported.
According to eyewitnesses, the fighter dug several meters inside the building, with nobody was believed to have been in the building at the time.
