Explosions were reported in several Iranian cities on Sunday as warplanes were seen flying over Isfahan, according to Iranian media.
Iranian outlets reported that attacks targeted military and government facilities in multiple locations, including Dezful, Isfahan, and Shiraz, as well as ports in southern parts of the country.
Authorities have not yet released details about the extent of the damage or whether there were casualties.
The reported strikes come amid escalating regional tensions and heightened military activity across the Middle East.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the strategic Strait of Hormuz remains open to international shipping, but not to vessels from the United States.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most vital maritime routes for global oil shipments, and any restrictions on traffic through the passage could have significant implications for international energy markets and regional security.
