Explosion in Somalia Leaves 10 Dead, Dozens Injured

Ten people were killed and dozens injured as a massive explosion hit Mogadishu, Somalia's capital, on Friday evening.

A suicide bomber blew himself up at a restaurant near Jubba junction in Shibis district of the capital Mogadishu, according to the state-owned television.

"There was a blast at the Jubba intersection which was carried out by a man in a suicide vest. More details will be released later," a police officer said.

The scene has since been sealed off by security forces who affirmed that investigation is underway to find the cause of the blast.
