An explosion took place this morning, Wednesday, in one of the squares outside the city of Al-Kharj in Saudi Arabia, which is designated for collecting and destroying remnants of unusable munitions.
Authorities affirmed that no one was hurt in the blast. No one provided any further details.
In January, a huge explosion was heard in Saudi Arabia capital Riyadh, according to a number of eyewitnesses and social media activists. The cause of the blast was not known.
Social media users circulated video clips of a missile being intercepted and destroyed over Riyadh. They blamed Houthi militia for the attack, appreciating air defence forces’ role in confronting any aggression.
