Informed government sources said that Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held several contacts and consultations during the Eid al-Adha holiday, to end the expected cabinet reshuffle. It is expected that a major cabinet reshuffle will be made, including 10 ministerial portfolios, subject to increase.
It is also expected that the cabinet reshuffle will be followed by a change movement among the governors.
In statements to Al Shorouk newspaper, the sources suggested that the ministerial reshuffle would include the ministers of state for media affairs, local development, higher education, parliament affairs, the business sector, petroleum and mineral resources, and the environment.
The sources pointed out that the cabinet reshuffle may affect one of the important sovereign ministries, but this matter has not been finalized and consultations on it are still ongoing.
The sources indicated that the amendment will be finally announced at the end of this week, or the middle of next week, at the latest, after the completion of consultations with the House of Representatives and leaders of some major political parties.
