Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy visited on Monday the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC).
This visit came as a part of his current trip to Egypt.
They were received by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum. He gave them an overview of the museum and its holdings.
During the tour, the former president visited the Central Exhibition Hall and the Mummies Hall.
The French guest and his family expressed their happiness with visiting the museum and his admiration of the displayed unique artifacts, which represent the ancient Egyptian civilization through the ages.
Moreover, Sarkozy and his family visited Sunday the Giza pyramids. they were keen to take many pictures in front of the three pyramids and the Sphinx.
Over the past few days, the former French president and his family also visited Luxor and Aswan, where they toured a number of tourist and archaeological sites.
On his part, Sarkozy expressed his admiration for the Egyptian civilization and the ingenuity of the ancient Egyptians in embodying an ancient civilization that spanned thousands of years, expressing his happiness to visit Egypt’s temples and monuments.
