International reports claimed on Saturday that Everton are in talks with Juventus' ex-boss Andrea Pirlo to replace Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti left the Premier League club to return once again to his favourite club Real Madrid, replacing sacked manager Zidane.

Pirlo worked with new Real Madrid manager Ancelotti at AC Milan as a player and the pair lifted two Champions League titles and a Serie A together.

Mercato suggest Pirlo could be in the frame at Goodison Park after a mixed spell in charge of Juventus - his first job in management - came to an end last season.

Pirlo left Juventus after failing to qualify for UEFA Champions League quarter final, as well as, losing the Serie A title.
