The European Union's head of foreign policy, Joseph Borrell, pleaded with all parties involved on Saturday to put a halt to the carnage in Sudan right away.
Additionally, he tweeted that everyone who worked for the EU in the country was present and safe.
"Scenario escalation only makes things worse. The safeguarding of citizens is a top priority, he added.
According to reports, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces stations scattered throughout the nation's capital, Khartoum, were being bombarded by the Sudanese air force.
