EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has arrived in China to co-chair the EU-China Strategic Dialogue alongside his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi.
The visit holds significant importance as it aims to delve into EU-China relations, address pivotal regional and global challenges, and engage in discussions with government officials, scholars, and business representatives.
Borrell expressed his anticipation for the dialogue, stating, "Just landed in China to co-chair the EU-China Strategic Dialogue with my counterpart Minister Wang Yi.
According to him, it is an important visit to discuss EU-China relations, key regional and global challenges with government authorities, scholars and business representatives.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin had previously announced Borrell's visit, scheduled from October 12 to October 14, at the invitation of Minister Wang.
He highlighted that this visit would contribute to fostering healthy and stable bilateral relations and set the stage for future high-level collaborations between the two nations.
