European Council Chief Charles Michel said on Wednesday that history will not forget the war crimes that have been committed in Ukraine.
The President of the European Council had arrived in the capital of Ukraine, "Kyiv", to show support for Ukraine nearly two months into Russia’s invasion.
“In Kyiv today, in the heart of free and democratic Europe,” Michel tweeted, upon his arrival.

Michel is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later in the day.
It is worth mentioning that the European Council has adopted a legislative law that provides an additional 3.5 billion euros in total, over the course of this year, to support member states that receive Ukrainian refugees fleeing hostilities in their country.
